Safe Sanctuaries Resources

 All volunteers who work with children, youth and vulnerable adults at our conference camp and retreats are required to submit an application and a background disclosure form prior to arriving at the camp or retreat.   A background check is currently required for volunteers every 3 years prior to arriving at the camp or retreat and is submitted through the Yellowstone Conference Safe Santuaries Task Force Team. Safe Sanctuaries Training is required and available in our online application process.   Additional training may be administered by the event leader or camp dean upon arrival at the event.

Recommendations from YAC Safe Sanctuaries Team

  1. The Yellowstone Conference recommends that all individuals working with children, youth and vulnerable adults be trained in basic Safe Sanctuaries policies and procedures and have a current background check with the church or the conference before working at the district and conference level. Please use the *FREE* resources below.
  2. Also make sure you are cross-checking your volunteers with the National Sex Offender Registry list:
