More than a hundred people met at Bozeman United Methodist Church from Feb. 12 to 15 for an exciting weekend of spiritual growth, relationship, and fun. We sang, laughed, cried, and ate tons of food. Throughout the weekend, we looked at the story from John when Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well. She is an outcast, and ragged from years of hardship. But Jesus offers her a life worth so much more. Just like the woman, we carry heavy burdens with us.

At convocation, we put those burdens on masks and name tags, asking ourselves "what is holding us back from letting God love us?" We wore those during our Mad Hatter's Masquerade Mystery dinner and later, took them off, and laid them at the altar. Sunday, we went on an amazing race, taking our lives in a new direction. Through prayer stations, we focused on embracing the new life and living water that Jesus is offering. We watched an amazing talent show, and ended the night with a devotion led by the graduating seniors. Monday, we went forth, saying our goodbye-for-nows, and talked about how to take a step out into faith and love, and bringing it all back to our communities. Lives were impacted, friendships were formed, and it was a weekend filled with love and light. We thank you for all the support!

If you are over 18 and are looking for an experience like this, our Youth Leadership Team will be offering just that! The youth are giving back the convo experience to adults in the form of Adult Convocation. This is a one-day retreat that will be held all over the state at different local churches. You will get to experience family groups, games, songs, service, and new way to explore your relationship with God. Led by young people, this is your chance to be a kid again and have fun walking your faith journey in a camp setting! Our first ones are in Great Falls on April 9 and in Billings on May 7.
