Orientation to Annaul Conference:  If you are new to annual conference (either laity or clergy) and want to learn who's who, what the acronyms mean, how to vote and more come to orientation on Thursday from 12-1 in Skybridge 3 at the Crowne Plaza.

Looking to meet new people or at least have someone to eat with.  Watch for the hospitality coordinator at the beginning of each meal break in the area just outside the conference hall.  They will take groups to different restaurants and help people meet each other and be in fellowship together.

Bring your laptop.  Conference will be computer freindly with power outlets at most tables and internet connection provided.  Most of the documents you receive at conference will be received electronically.  Also there may be an opportunity to use your computer and learn how to navigate the new web site and add your churches important events.

Dress for conference is casual, except for ordination service.  For that worship service dress is nicer than casual.  If you are clergy, bring a robe and your stole for the ordination service.

There will be a conference choir who will help lead worship at the ordination service.  Watch for announcements about when and where they will rehearse.  All are welcome to particiapte in the conference choir.

Health Screenings will be available again this year through Quest Diagnostics.

Check out the announcments for a list of local restaurants.

There will be a display room at annual conference for groups who wish to share information with the conference.

THERE WILL NOT BE  A BOOK GIVEAWAY this year.  Please leave your books at home!  Cokesbury will have books for purchase.

Travel Pool

In 1999 the Yellowstone Annual Conference voted to reinstate a travel pool for members traveling to Annual Conference.  Therefore, a part of each year’s registration fee isdesignated to fund that pool. Following Annual Conference, that fund will be prorated among those driving to Annual Conference who submit requests for payment. Reimbursement will be from the driver’s hometown to/from Billings. Members are still urged to carpool in an effort to minimize both expenses and the consumption of fossil fuels. If you wish to donate your travel, please check the appropriate line on the travel voucher. Funds left in the travel pool after reimbursements will be carried over to the next Annual Conference. The travel pool will “level the playing field” and reduce the previous inequity in which some members of our family were burdened with significantly higher costs to attend Annual Conference simply by virtue of where they live.
