CONVO 2018: "God don't make no junk"

Did you know that "God Don't Make No Junk?" Come be reminded that your life is beautifully and wonderfully made! We will be listening to speakers, singing songs, playing games, having discussion, and eating LOTS OF FOOD!
Below is a list of things you will need to make your experience even better! But a few things to highlight:
-Silent auction, along with other fundraisers throughout the weekend. The money we make will be split, half is donated to a mission that we will announce and the other half is put into a scholarship fund for you all to use for future camp and convo! We have awesome items to bid on, as well as candy and pop for sale throughout the weekend. So, bring a couple bucks to get some fun stuff!
- Talent show! So if you've got a talent, bring it and show it off!
-We will also be doing some walking around outside so bring appropriate clothing for winter!
-If you have or play a musical instrument bring that as well! Guitar, Ukulele, Kazoo, Whatever! We have jam sessions and we always welcome new song leaders!

Check in: 6:30pm, Friday February 16th.
(Activities begin at 7:30p. Snacks will be provided but dinner is on your own)
Pick up: 12:00pm, Monday February 19th.
-Appropriate clothing for 4 days (we will be walking outside so bring something warm!)
-Single sized cot or air mattress (optional)
-Money for auction items
-Musical instruments (optional)
-Talent show stuff
-Earplugs (optional - sometimes people snore!)
Please do not bring:
-Weapons of any kind (guns, knives, etc.)
-Drugs or alcohol (obviously)
-Electronic devices (ipads, laptops, nintendos....)
-Expensive/Valuable items (jewelry, clothing, electronics, watches, etc)
Cell phones and ipods are permitted, but will only be allowed during designated times. HOWEVER, we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items during the weekend. BE RESPONSIBLE.
CHURCHES, PARENTS, AND FRIENDS SEE BELOW:
1. REGISTER KIDS FROM YOUR CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
This is the best way to help! The application can be found at yacumc.org/youth. Registration is $70 until February 1st. After that the cost is $100, with a hard deadline of February 18th.

2. PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION.
Carpool, carpool, carpool!
If you are available to drive kids or leaders, but don't know who needs rides, let us know!
3. DONATE AN AUCTION ITEM (S).
Every year we have an auction, where kids have the opportunity to buy fun and exciting items, provided by you, to take home. The proceeds this year, will be split between a mission in need within the Yellowstone Conference and our newly developed Youth/Camp scholarship fund. We are not looking for old dusty things you don't want-sorry! We ARE looking for fun things like: fun prize baskets (I.e. Movie night/spa night/craft night/you get the point), gift cards that would work in different cities, ski goggles, -etc. anything you think a young person would think is "cool". If this is your calling to help, email or call Abbie Thompson as soon as possible.
4. SPONSOR A YOUTH OR DONATE TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
Every year, many kids are in need of financial assistance. It is encouraged for churches to sponsor or assist youth from their church and community! It is a great way to make a connection with your youth, and make an investment in their spiritual development. If you wish to donate, or sponsor, call/email Abbie Thompson as soon as possible.
