Alison Massey and Molly Kisthart have known each other since the third grade in Livingston, Montana. This dynamic duo has participated together in local theater, music, youth group, retreats and camps, all while growing together in their faith.

They both started campus ministry at Montana State University as freshman in fall 2013. Now juniors, they are serving as campus ministry interns and their duties include: meeting new students at welcome week, orientation and the involvement fairs; creating and sharing information about campus ministry through fliers, website, and Facebook; and hosting a weekly bible study and dinner on Friday nights. They also serve on the music team.

  • Joined in third grade, confirmed in eighth grade Grace United Methodist in Livingston
  • Favorite part of being a part of the UMC: The pastors in our community and the conference. They create a positive environment and are supportive of students in ministry.
  • How can the United Methodist Church support campus ministry?: I think you need to get involved in students lives early and then stay connected to them through their adult lives even if they move away.
  • What's your favorite part of belong to a campus ministry: The lifelong friendships you make with these people!

Molly Kisthart, 21 - majoring in film at MSU
  • Lifelong Methodist Grace United Methodist in Livingston
  • Favorite part of being a part of the UMC: The community is diverse and very supportive and welcoming.
  • How can the United Methodist Church support campus ministry?: By getting involved in education early on through camps, youth and then directing them to a campus ministry or hosting/supporting one if you're in a college town.
  • What's your favorite part of belong to a campus ministry: The weekly music and worship together.
