Help!  Disaster!  Help!

A Disaster has just occurred … what should I do?

 

Check

1.   Are you and your family safe? If not, get to safety!

2.   Are there injured around you? If so, how many and how badly?

 

 

Call

1.   If there are serious injuries call 911

2.   Call your District Superintendent.

3.   Call one of the following three persons (they will contact each other!)

·      the Assistant to the Bishop (David Burt)

·      the Conference Disaster Response Committee Chairperson (Gary Haddock)

·      the Bishop’s Office

·      Offer support for others that is within your ability

 

 

Collaborate

·      Ask for assistance from other UM pastors in your area

·      Provide information to the Conference’s Disaster Response contact

·      Provide updates to the Director of Mission and Ministry
