The primary responsibilities of BOM is to interview and examine candidates for ordination and/or commissioning as ordained clergy in the church.
The Board of Stewards is the leadership team of our Yellowstone Annual Conference, comprised of representatives of our many ministry areas. Our purpose is to uphold the vision and values of the annual conference and to ensure that our ministries and supporting funds reflect our strategic priorities.
The Board of Trustees has the authority to manage properties owned by the Annual Conference and its agencies. Property includes but is not limited to money that is donated, bequeathed or conveyed to annual conference as well as with Real Estate property. Managing the property as good stewards for the Conference is the major responsibility of the Board of Trustees.
The Congregational Development Team of Yellowstone Conference has two primary goals. 1) To foster the creation of new worshiping faith communities throughout the conference. 2) To aid churches in revitalization through reconnection with their local community.
This team consists of clergy and laity who serve as the "conscience" of our conference by working to identify, express, and clarify the values which guide our decisions and actions.
Lay Servant Ministries offers valuable education equipping United Methodists for all facets of lay ministry. Teaching, serving, training, leading, participating, caring, loving, and communicating are integral parts of Lay Servant Ministries.
The Nu Places for Nu Faces course prepares ordinary believers to start new faith communities for the purposes of an extraordinary God! We are about REAL places, REAL people, REAL conversations.
As one of the conference's administrative agencies, there shall be a Process Committee consisting of six to nine
members. “Any Parliamentarian(s) appointed by the Bishop shall serve ex-officio without vote. The duties of this
committee shall be to oversee the legislative, business, and election process and working organization of the
Yellowstone Annual Conference.
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE
is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
to develop a creative supportive fellowship;
and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
