Mountain Sky Area Announcement

Jayne (Adams) Baugh will retire as Executive Assistant to Bishop Elaine Stanovsky effective November 25, 2011. November 22 will be her last day in the office.

Jayne has worked in the Denver Episcopal Office since 1999, when she was hired by Bishop Mary Ann Swenson. Since then she served with Bishop Warner Brown for eight years and now with Bishop Stanovsky. In this role she has related to both the Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone Conferences.

Bishop Stanovsky praises Jayne, saying “She prays for every person who calls the office, and every person who comes into the office. Jayne has been a genuine Christian servant in this role.”

An opportunity to honor her friendship and service and to wish her well is being planned. Watch for further notice.

You may recall that in the fall of 2009 a proposal to merge the Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone Conferences emerged from the Committee on Conferences of the Western Jurisdiction. We weren’t quite expecting it, and the joint cabinet of the two conferences issued a strong response. In it we cast a vision of the two conferences working together, while maintaining distinct identities. And I have said, if change will promote vital ministry in this area, let’s choose the change, rather than letting it happen to us. Read more
