School for Professional Ministry Registration is now open!
Bishop Stanovsky will lead the Yellowstone Conference School for Professional Ministry which focuses on the book “The Missional Leader: Equipping Your Church for a Changing World” by Alan Roxburgh and Fred Romanuk.
The School is being held April 6-8, 2010 at the Ursuline Centre, 2300 Central Ave. Great Falls, MT. Please download a copy of the registration form below and send it to the Conference office before March 27th. Share this opportunity with your colleagues in ministry!

Centennial Celebration
The Great Falls First United Methodist Church is holding a Centennial Celebration of the Brother Van Historical United Methodist Parsonage on June 19 and 20, 2010. The construction of the Brother Van Parsonage was begun in August 1909 and completed early in 1910. From the very beginning, a room was designated for Brother Van. He lived there with two different pastors' families from 1910 until his death in 1919. The parsonage was the closest Brother Van ever had to having a permanent home in Montana.

Announcement from Bishop Stanovsky
Bishop Elaine Stanovsky announces her intention that the Rev. Deb Olenyik, currently superintendent of the Wyoming/Northern Colorado District of the Rocky Mountain Conference, will take on responsibilities for all the United Methodist Churches in Wyoming beginning July 1, 2010. “Rev. Olenyik has a deep Christian faith, and a very bright and wise spirit. And she knows and loves Wyoming,” Bishop Stanovsky said.

Operation Resurrection: Haiti

At Western Jurisdiction meetings last month, Bishop Elaine Stanovsky presented a proposal for the churches in our eight annual conferences to collaborate on
Operation Resurrection: Haiti. Today, one church, Woodland UMC, put a video on Facebook about their approach to Operation Resurrection: Haiti.
Bishops’ letter pledges to protect God’s creation
Pandemic poverty and disease, environmental degradation and a world full of weapons and violence are the wages of our sins against God’s creation.
But there is hope if we change our ways, the 69 active United Methodist bishops say in a pastoral letter that will be read in churches during Advent.
