Betty was married to Kenneth Clayton Sr. in 1942. They raised three boys (Ken Clayton Jr (D), Bruce, Mark) and three girls (Nancy, Carolyn, Georgia) in Overland Parks, Kansas. In 1968 she married Rev. Vincent Hall and moved to Boulder, Colorado.

When Rev Hall was transferred to Billings, MT, Betty completed a Psychology degree at Eastern Montana College. Rev. Hall and Betty retired in Lamar, Missouri.

Betty was active in Eastern Star and served as a Worthy Matron. She moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri, and was very active in the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church. Betty proudly contributed to the Building Fund for the new church, but did not live long enough to see it dedicated. Betty loved to read, sew and quilt. Up to the age of 91, she made and hand-quilted bedcovers for all her children and almost all her grandchildren. She has thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
